At the moment I'm not impressed with Google Gemini, it seems like they've just ripped off ChatGPT. The layout and functions are almost identical. I ran a simple test, asking both Gemini and ChatGPT to come up with ideas of names for my team at my next Pub Trivia Night. Given the same prompt, ChatGPT's answers were far more creative and useful. Gemini also had trouble generating an image to go with my team name, while ChatGPT had no problem at all. To be fair, I'm using the paid version of ChatGPT 4, vs the free version of Gemini, so that might account for the drop in quality. I'm sure Google will eventually create a great AI product, but at the moment it seems like they're just trying to keep up with ChatGPT.
